Miller: The Teaching Files: Gastrointestinal (Expert Consult Series)

This book is a compilation of 400 selected cases in abdominal imaging. A wide variety of pathologies are presented on plain radiographs, contrast studies, computed tomography, ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging.

Case-based education is a time-honored, effective way of medical teaching, performed at the bedside, at clinical-pathologic conferences, and at the light-box, now computer monitor. A case-based textbook is easier to read than a textbook, presenting short, easily digestible vignettes. This text is not intended to be an encyclopedic tome. The cases were selected to teach radiographic analysis and differential diagnosis.

This book may also be used for board review. Arrows were not included in all the images, so the radiologist can search for the findings. Annotated images are available on the internet. Unfortunately, due to space and financial considerations, it was not possible to have a set of clean and annotated images on opposite pages.

So, have fun. Let's do a little roentgen analysis.
